About Maypole Bakery:

Maypole Bakery was established in the early 1900's and the principal aim was to provide fresh, nutritious and delicious bread to the local public. The bakery became very popular throughout the Maltese Islands, with a reputation for first class products. Since 1973 it has been owned and managed by the present owner Carmelo Debono who is constantly updating the wide range of products being offered, using modern machinery and latest technology to ensure optimum results.

Being a family-run business, Carmelo Debono and his wife Angela are ably joined in the bakery by their three sons Mario, James and Sebastian, and three daughters Mary Grace, Marica and Antonella.

Together they work hard to keep on producing an extensive range of fancy and wholemeal bread, fruit-based bread, frozen goods and of course, the irresistible confectionery! Today they are one of the major suppliers for hotel and catering establishments - with a 24-hour, 7 days-a-week service.
